Love peanut butter, but you’re allergic to peanuts?

Or perhaps you’re concerned about the lack of nutrition of some South African peanut butter brands.

If that’s the case, you might be interested in Lush Yummy nut butter.

The website is an interesting experience, to say the least.

The individual behind it is on a strange unbranding mission; almost like a rebellion against the main-stream culture having gone woke and vanilla over the last few years.

That’s ironic, since it looks to me as if this is exactly the sort of product those on the left would fall over their feet to get at.

But the maker is not interested in targeting a specific demographic.

He’s not selling his nut butter on some or other ethical point, and not even on nutritional value.

He sells it on taste.

He says the product tastes good, and therefore is worthy of being bought and consumed.

The reviews on the Lush Yummy nut butter Google Business page seem to prove his point.

However, is the product nutritional?

Yes.

It contains only raw macadamia nuts, cashew nuts, dried banana and honey.

Nothing else.

So it’s far better for consumption than many other snacks you could roll around on your tongue.

But that’s not the point.

He wants people to enjoy the taste of this nut butter, and that’s it.

So convinced is the maker of the product’s superior taste that he even used Comic Sans for the logo, a text he despises.

Weird, right?

To get Lush Yummy nut butter into your mouth seems to be a mission.

You can’t buy it from the website. Not yet, in any case.

You have to make your way to the Green Room co-working space in Jeffreys Bay, if you want some.

Or order through Green Box in Jeffreys Bay.

The problem is, Green Box also mainly serves the local community.

Maybe chat with the weirdo behind Lush Yummy through WhatsApp.

You might be able to persuade him to send you some of his nut butter via post.

Whatever you do, it’s worth trying. The product tastes great.
